You must first contact support to enable your SSH.

SSH (or Secure Shell) allows your to connect to your web site and run commands with a linux command line.  It is very convenient.  It is similar to manipulating files using a windows DOS prompt.

You first need a client.  We use PuTTY.

-Run putty.exe
-Type in your domain name
-SET THE PORT TO 2222 (that is four 2s!)

When you are connected, type in your normal cPanel username and password.  You be in your root directory, which is /home/yourusername/
